What is a Warrant Canary?

A warrant canary is a method by which a service provider can inform users that they have NOT been served with a secret government subpoena. In some jurisdictions, laws prohibit service providers from disclosing the existence of certain types of government requests.

By regularly publishing a statement that no such requests have been received, the absence of such a statement can serve as an indirect notification that a secret request has been made.

Our Statements

As of the last update, we can confirm the following:

Duckier has never received a National Security Letter or any similar classified request.
Duckier has never received an order from a FISA court or equivalent foreign court.
Duckier has never been required to install any backdoors in our software or infrastructure.
Duckier has never been required to modify our systems to allow access or monitoring by any third party.
Duckier has never provided any government with encryption keys or the ability to decrypt user data.

Update Schedule

This warrant canary is updated monthly. If this page is not updated for more than 60 days, users should assume that something may have changed regarding the statements above.

Important: The absence of an update to this canary does not necessarily mean we have received a secret request. It could also indicate technical issues or oversight. However, we recommend users exercise caution if updates stop.

Jurisdiction

Duckier Interactive FZCO is incorporated in the United Arab Emirates (UAE). We are subject to UAE law and may be required to comply with valid legal requests from UAE authorities. We are not directly subject to US laws such as the PATRIOT Act or FISA.
